Tántalo Hotel / Kitchen / Roofbar is a brand new venue in the old city of Casco Viejo. Tucked away in Panama City's historic Casco Viejo district, our New York inspired boutique hotel features 12 uniquely designed rooms spotlighting the artwork of 12 different locally based artists. Encima, the area's first rooftop lounge and bar, offers a “must see” view of the ever growing Panama City skyline, featuring live music and tantalizing signature cocktails: an equation for perfection. The Tántalo Kitchen is open to all, serving up a variety of plates designed for sharing made from the ingredients we all know and love, but fused with different influences from countries around the globe... even one dish from our chef's famous Tia.
And our artsy downstairs bar and lounge-featuring the interior two-story green wall, the first ever in Panama, is always available for just hanging out, working on your laptop utilizing our free Wi-Fi, or collaborating with other professionals.
Tántalo embraces Casco Viejo's extraordinary Spanish Colonial architecture while celebrating the city's artistic revolution, weaving antique with chic. We repurposed local items like telephone cabling spools and original roofing into furniture, flooring and décor, for a creative spin on eco-conscious. We're also surrounded by cathedrals, shops, museums, and just a short drive from the Panama Canal, all good places to visit, assuming you actually feel the need to leave Tántalo.
